This week in our topic we learnt all about Planet Earth. We used books and the internet to learn about the things that we find on our planet. We learnt there was water, land, living creatures, food, mountains, valleys and plains, man made things,  forests and plants. The children spent time showing their knowledge by recreating their own planets. Some used natural resources, some creative and others chose Lego. 

In Phonics we moved onto Phase 3 sounds learning j,v and w and doing a reading session. 

In Maths we subitised  to 6,  developed our knowledge of dice patterns and started to see patterns of numbers in different presentations of dots. 

Forest School was superb and the children started to practise their whittling skills by safely using a whittling knife. They also spent time  looking after the living creatures in our Eco area by making bird feeders.
