This wheel our focus was aliens. We used stories, drama, expressive arts and our imaginations to learn about and create aliens. We used the stories Aliens Love Underpants and Aliens in Underpants Save the World to help us; we enjoyed a superb drama session with Liz to help fuel our imaginations to create our own aliens, considering what they would look like, sound like, move like and what they would like to do. We drew amazing pictures and used these to think of exciting words. 

Following on from this we made portholes for aliens using lots of art skills such as painting, cutting, wrapping, sticking and decorating. 

In Phonics we continued to learn Phase 3 digraphs and used the magnetic letters to help us spell different words. We consolidated our knowledge with different games including sound bingo. We used ch and sh words on our Bingo cards.

In Maths we have been deepening our knowledge of number bonds to 5 and extending by learning about 6 and 7. 

In P.E we have continued with our gymnastics unit and have progressed to using the boxes and mats independently and also the big climbing equipment. 

We had a super week 5 of term. Well done Little Conkers.
