P.E

P.E. at Buxworth Primary School

At Buxworth Primary School we want children to reach their full potential in physical, intellectual, emotional, aesthetic, social and spiritual growth. We recognise the physical as well as mental health benefits of physical education and are keen to engage all children in an active lifestyle. Through our P.E curriculum we endeavour to instil an enjoyment, passion and love of sports, physical engagement and competition in all of our children.

Every year group enjoys at least 2 hours of P.E and physical activity through twice weekly P.E lessons; weekly Forest School sessions; Mile a Day runs, Brain Break activities and inter school competitions.  We play a very active role in our Local School Sports Partnership Sports competitions and attend events most weeks. We have successfully reached many area finals and even some County ones.

On top of this we also offer after school sports clubs which are very well attended.
