❄️❄️Jack Frost❄️❄️

This week in Forest School Jack Frost had visited! The children explored the frost and how it sparkled in the sun. They used language such as 'crispy' and 'crunchy' to describe how the leaves sounded under their feet.

We sang a song about frost, and the children went on a hunt to find signs of Winter. The children were very patient and quiet, but unfortunately they didn't see a robbin.

Other child initiated activites included:

  • Team games 'Hide and Seek' and 'Tag'
  • Making salad and pizza out of berries and leaves
  • Climbing trees

Today in class the children learnt the 'e' sound and had cracked lots of eggs, in Forest school we cooked the eggs and enjoyed them with a warm bagel.

The children also made some food for the birds by mixing lard with bird seeds. It was very sticky!

A group of children worked hard as a team to collect lots of wood for a role play bonfire.

Autumn Art

The children worked together to make a beautiful piece of Autumn hanging art. They used sticks, wool and leaves and practised tying knots in order to create the display.

Lots of teamwork was on show today as a group of children persevered to make a den.

A group of children were digging, hoping to find treasure, they didn't find any gold but they did find lots of worms!
